WATCH RAW?? MAKE ME!!

For the last couple of months I have broken a habit of a lifetime. SHOCKER.....Yes it's happened, I've stopped watching RAW EVERY Monday night.
Now, my guilty pleasure in life consists of viewing weekly indy shows such as Lucha Underground, Ring of Honor, and WWE Develpopement brand NXT.
Oh no not another one of those smarky fans i hear you say?? Well I shoot that argument straight down. My reasoning for putting those shows ahead of WWE are simple. They are an easy watch. They are only on for an hour and keep you hooked from start until finish.
Yes a load of you say ROH is superkick....suicide dive....superkick....dive off the top rope.....superkick......repeat!! Although this is highly exaggerated, it really is all the show needs to be. They keep it simple, they let their talking happen in the ring, with fast, crisp, exciting matches. They only have one hour viewing per week to produce, so this makes for a really clean, well put together product.
I watch the show for great wrestling matches and that's what you get. Its only an hour, so you don't need over produced, over written, story lines. And the matches are more free and not constrained in any way.
In my opinion, after I watch the show I feel like, hell they left every bit of themselves in that ring there.
Lucha Underground is a little different. They have shown us a nice alternative style to wrestling tv production and storylines.
This is my favorite wrestling show of the week. it's unique style has me hooked and wanting more and more every time I watch it.
They have a movie like style of back stage promo and story telling, and it works fantastically well. This mixed with the fantastic Lucha and indy style action in the ring makes for a really great product!! They have seemed to find the perfect balance between story lines, production, exciting matches and gimmicks.
So like ROH they have one hour of great wrestling action. But what makes it more special is the chaining of the shows! I can't wait to see what happens there next week.

So this brings me onto WWE. I will always love WWE, and will never hate or bash them. If I hear there is a great match on RAW, I'll find it and watch it. I will never say I don't watch WWE or I refuse to watch WWE.
I look at the PPV cards. If I see a match i think will be great, I put the network on the next day and I watch it.
The problem is, I don't enjoy watching the full shows.
There are various reasons for this. I think the most important reason is INVESTMENT.
In three hours of RAW and two Hours of SmackDown, there are few and far between moments that can justify me watching the full shows every single week. Why is this???

WWE HELL IN A CELL 2014 PREDICTIONS....

Well we are at that time of the year again folks. Its time to witness the sick, demonic, and vile structure known as the HELL IN A CELL descend over the WWE ring. Sometimes viewed as just another bridging PPV by some, this show has lacked in the excitement, craziness and action in the last couple of years. I really hope we get an enthralling show this year. Here is my thoughts on how the show might unfold.....

DOLPH ZIGGLER (C) VS CESARO --- IC CHAMPIONSHIP

This match could well end up being a contender for match of the night! We have two of the hardest working stars in the company facing off in what could be an action packed back and forth encounter. Although i am not Dolph's biggest fan, I love his in ring work and there is no doubting his talent. But i think a load of people would agree its time to see Cesaro win the strap and have a long title run. With WWE booking Ziggler coming out on top in the build up to the PPV, this leads me to believe they will go for the king of swing coming out on top. But the match should include a few kick outs and lots of near falls. Fingers crossed in hope of this is being a classic!!!  Cesaro with a clean win after several near falls from both men.

WINNER -- CESARO

GOLD/STARDUST (C) VS THE USOS --- TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

So it feels like we saw this match a load of times before right?? Um well that's because we have. The teams have faced off in either normal, 6-man, or even 8-man tag matches in nearly every show for two months now. I just hope everyone hasn't lost interest in what could be a decent 15min encounter. Having said that, i am predict that they will have a fast pace match, full of high spots from all 4. And a little silliness from the Dust brothers flung in too. But if i am honest, i don't think we will see much different from what we have been watching in recent weeks. I am actually hoping that Harper and Rowan have been "set free" not as individuals, but as a team. If this is true, then i go for them coming down and clearing the ring after a Dust brothers win. Match ends with Harper and Rowan holding the straps in the middle of the ring.

WINNERS --- GOLD/STARDUST

AJ LEE (C) VS PAIGE --- DIVAS CHAMPIONSHIP

Although these two ladies have been working their ass' off since AJ's return at start of summer, they have yet to have that big defining match to say "yup, we are the best two females in the company." I have enjoyed their back and forth storyline, and the feud has been hinting that it could be great. But for me it just hasn't got there. I am predicting that this match could be a great one. I see them finally having that great match. I simply ask WWE for two things....1. No interference from Alicia fox, which would be totally pointless. 2. A longer match than the Bella's will get.
This match will simply come down to which finisher comes out on top. both have great moves/submissions that could get them the win. I predict that Paige taps out to the black widow.

WINNER --- AJ LEE

BIG SHOW VS RUSEV --- SINGLES MATCH

I don't see the match itself being an instant classic. But i am intrigued by how much emotion this match will carry. I think with Big Show, WWE have finally got the mix right for a great Rusev feud. I have noticed in the build up to this match that Rusev has started to come out of his shell more. The build up has been great work on both sides and decent writing from creative! It's obvious we are going to have a battle of strength at the start. How many big moves will we see?? not a lot in my opinion. I expect to see Rusev not being able to wear down Big Show, he can't pin him or get him to tap. Big Show uses his strength and emotion to get up and out of rusev's accolade submission. Then plant Rusev with his knockout punch. But Mark Henry comes down and prevents Show from winning. then interferes and helps Rusev get the win. Resulting in a Mark Henry turn and Big Show tapping out to the Accolade this time.

WINNER --- RUSEV

SHEAMUS (C) VS THE MIZ W/MIZDOW --- US CHAMPIONSHIP

I think it might be blatantly obvious that most of us will be watching Damien Mizdow rather than the match itself. Sheamus will bring his usual offencive attacking, with hard hits. the Miz will do his protecting the money maker spots. I see a Mizdow interference, as in he was trying to help The Miz get the win, but inadvertently stops him getting the pin. This allows Sheamus to hit the Brogue kick and get the pin to retain the title. I predict it to end this way setting up two or three months of The Miz blaming and bullying mizdow. Until Sandow gets sick of it and eliminates The miz from the Royal Rumble.

WINNER --- SHEAMUS

BRIE BELL VS NIKKI BELLA --- LOSER IS PERSONAL ASSISTANT

Who cares about the match. Nikki will win. Brie will have a terrible time as assistant. Prompting a return from Daniel Bryan as he wants to save her. But instead he gets a major beat down. Thus WWE can tell us he will be out for another 6 months due to the injuries he received.

WINNER --- NIKKI BELLA

JOHN CENA VS RANDY ORTON --- NO1 CONTENDER HIAC MATCH

This match will better than some folks think. If i am honest, i don't see them leaving floor level or ring level. But i do see them having a good few brutal spots. Of course we will see both men have their five moves of doom, but why shouldn't they?? I have a feeling the crowd will have negative chants and/or ambrose chants all the way through it. We might even get the JBL chants! I just hope this doesn't spoil the match for me. I see a load of near falls and kick outs. I am predicting a double pin. Setting up a triple threat match with Lesnar at survivor series.

WINNER --- DRAW

SETH ROLLINS VS DEAN AMBROSE --- HELL IN A CELL MATCH

I really do hope these two stars deliver the match we KNOW they can. This could be the defining match that propels them on the way to officially being no one and two in the company soon. We should see a load of craziness and high spots, weapons, interference from mercury and noble. I think they will fling everything at this match. Seth Rollins climbing to the top of the cell at the end of Raw indicates that they will head up there in their match. I hope they stay safe and whichever crazy moves they have planned, come off in a safe way. I don't think Vince would allow any "Foley type stunts" anyway. The only sensible booking would be an Ambrose win or if Rollins wins its with a load of help. i am predicting an Ambrose win after some crazy ass move and dirty deeds.

WINNER --- DEAN AMBROSE

A TEN COUNT TO THE DAMN BELL

DING DING
1.  We have saw a slight rise in gimmicks in the WWE in the last 16 months. I personally think this is a good thing for the industry. As the 2006-2010 run in the company, had its fair share of blandness and boring feuds. Which resulted in some fans like myself preferring the TNA programming every week. We had stars such as Cena, Orton, Batista, Lashley etc shoved down our throats every week. Ok so some of those stars are still on our screens each week in 2014. But with numerous new faces and a good blend of gimmicks and technical wrestlers, some of the aforementioned stars, are now reaping the benefits from working with the newer charismatic talent. WWE seem to be getting it spot on with the newer gimmicks. Not silly over gimmicked characters like the mid 90s, but not the blandness of the later part of the 2000's.  We currently have a good mix of characters who make you want to invest more time in them, by giving us strong promos, great matches and a connection with the viewer. Stars such as Bray Wyatt, The Wyatts, The Shield (pre split), Cesaro, Bad News Barrett, Rusev, The Real American, The Usos, Emma, Fandango to name a few. And of course Daniel Bryan played the underdog character perfectly with his YES movement story. His whole package coming over strongly on our screens each week.
With NXT doing such a great job with talent, I fully expect WWE to keep getting the perfect mix of characters and stories for the next few years to come.

2.  Dustin "Goldust" Runnels has done a fantastic job since returning to our screens last
year. The 45 year old "bizarre one" is looking sharper, quicker and more energetic than he has done in years. I believe he is underrated by some fans, and could be used more for putting over the younger talent further up the card. Why shouldn't he carry one of the mid card titles?? Then subsequently put over some of the up and coming talent, dropping the title to them at one of the top ppvs?? He has proved since his return, that he still has the skills to hang with anyone in the ring. And we all know he can provide interesting promos and great feuds.
There has been a long burning story running this year for the eventual feud of Goldust and his young brother Cody Rhodes. It had been  certainly looking like its heading toward a big match at Summerslam, Until the emergance of Cody's new gimmick, Stardust. But what happens to Goldust after this?? With his contract rumoured to be up after August, I feel WWE should give him another one, as he can still be an integral part of the roster.
One of my followers (@RomanWillReign) mentioned in a tweet, she would like to see Dustin Runnels get a job behind the scenes at WWE as an agent or a trainer. I think this is a great shout, and I really hope it happens. He definitely deserves it!!

3.  So once again the WWE seem to have forgotten all about the tag division. Toward the end of 2013, it seemed as though creative were going to invest in this division finally,
with The Wyatts, The Shield, The Rhodes Bros, The Usos, Rybaxel, The Prime Time Players, The Real Americans, Tons of Funk all competing to be the next holders of the belts. But leading up to WrestleMania XXX, WWE seemed to take their foot off the gas. Electing instead to promote the new yearly mania spot, The Andre the Giant Battle Royal. With most of the tag team members being included in the match, It meant NO tag team title match at mania. Since then WWE have split some of the teams and the importance of the division has fallen to bottom of the agenda and planning once again. Hopefully some time in the near future, they can invest in the formation of new legitimate tag teams. There is plenty of underused talent who they can work with and repackage together as a team.
On the subject of tag teams. I really do hate the current tag team belts. they are an awful design. Back to the drawing board please WWE!!!

4.  There are two BIG Wrestling names that could be on our screens by the end of the
summer. Kurt Angle and Sting are both rumoured to be rejoining and debuting in WWE at some point in 2014. With the imminent release of a WWE produced Sting DVD, I sincerely hope he ends up on TV at some sort of level. It would make sense to coincide with the dvd release. What capacity should Sting debut in? I don't know. The 55 year old is a legend and I would love to see him in WWE even for a short run. It will definitely be a mark out moment for me!!
Kurt Angle has been tagged with injuries most of last year. and injured again this year. He's rumoured to have already had his last match for TNA, as his contract is due to run out before he is scheduled to return from injury. Kurt has never hidden his desire, to one day return to WWE, and has hinted strongly that it could happen this year. My question is, can he or would he return on a full time contract?? RVD, Lesnar and Undertaker are already on part time contracts. Is it fair to add another big name to that list? Is this unfair to the solid workers who arent on tv? I'm afraid it's all about the $$$. Kurt Angle would draw money in a run. As unfair as it sounds, Its simple as that! Kurt is undoubtedly one of the best, if not thee best in ring performer of all time. So i would love to see him back in some sort of contract. With his body only at 50%, he will still be able to enthral us with his impeccable mat skills. So the wrestling mark inside me would love to see those two legends once again. Even if its only for a short time.

5.  Sasha Banks may well be the most excited I've been about a female competitor since the days of Trish, Lita, Mickie, and Victoria! The young lady from Boston oozes potential. With a great look, and style she caught my attention quite early on after her NXT debut. She has improved in the ring in recent times and has formed a formidable stable along with Charlotte and the returning Summer Rae. I can't quite put my finger on what draws me to the young 22 year old. She just has an Aura about her and a presence in her ring entrance. Her BO$$ gimmick is definitely working for me. She also invests time in social media to promote her Boss of NXT character. This is good to see, as she is going all out to get herself over and impress enough to make it onto the main roster. Being only 22 gives her plenty of time to develop even more over next couple of years. I look forward to Sasha's career unfolding on WWE television. I see a great future for this girl and she impresses me every time I see her. The girl is $$$.

6.  I was never a major fan of the roster split from late 2002 until 2007. But the one thing
it did produced during those years was a much better Smackdown tv product than we are viewing just now. It makes me kinda sad when I read that the Smackdown tv tapings are sometimes not a sell out. Half of the top tier closed off etc etc.I do not blame the fans one bit though. WWE do not do a good enough job to promote the lagging tv brand. Raw is their number one show, and quite rightly they promote it every chance they get. But I feel even shows like main event and total divas, receive more weekly hype and advertisement. Personally it feels like WWE see it simply as "the other show". Producing it with too much filler content, and even a 10 minute RAW rewind segment. Why not start making it feel important again?? Push the mid card strongly on the show, give the underused talent more mic time, and more ring time to connect with the audience. But advertise these segments, push the show. It would make for much more enjoyable viewing, Both for the attending fans and the viewers at home!!

7.  I was sad to hear of the release of ten WWE talent last week. Some of which, were on our televisions every week leading up to their release. Some people ask why some of these stars,
who are solid workers, are released but certain divas, midgets, and injury prone stars weren't? I think there is a simple answer to this. The WWE Network hasn't sold as many subscriptions as the Board of Directors anticipated. This along with the recent WWE shares falling in price have dented a big hole in the company revenue.  The released stars don't make WWE any money. Not necessarily their fault, as they either weren't getting on tv or they were simply portraying the roles they were given. Most of the divas have been making the total divas show a success with certain sections of the wwe universe. Injury prone stars such as Rey Mysterio and Christian still currently make money in merchandise sale. Even El Torrito will be making more merchandise money than certain of the released stars. I certainly wish all of these stars all the best wherever they end up. Hopefully we will see most of them on our tv with alternative wrestling companies.

8.  I have recently been putting a lot of thought into what my favourite ever feud is. There have been so many amazing feuds over the years. From Hogan/Andre to Daniel Bryan/Authority, From Savage/Jake Roberts to  NWO/WCW, From Bret/Shawn to HHH/Cena. So many more than I can even mention. The one that sticks out to me though, is Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock. It happened at a time just after i returned to viewing wrestling after a three year
break from 1993 until very late 1996. I got sucked back in just as the Monday night wars was beginning. This was the start of one of the best runs in wrestling history for the viewing fans. With the whole anti establishment theme kicking off in both WWF and WCW, I found myself being swept away in the whole stone cold phenomenon. I was hooked on the wrestling legend. This was Hogan or Warrior except ten times better I thought. Every week I just couldn't wait to see what he would do next. After The Rock won the Title at Deadly Game tournament at Survivor Series 98'. I knew straight away it was going to be The Rock vs Austin at WrestleMania 15. The weeks running up to mania was just sublime tv from both of these legends. With Vince McMahon playing a great support role. And then again in 2001 leading up to WrestleMania 17.  Both  mania matches were absolute classics. The two all time greats just seemed to click perfectly in the ring. The chemistry they shared was just amazing to watch. Both men selling the others move to the highest standard. Although I was upset at the Austin heel turn, I think the mania 17 match just shades it in quality. But i did mark out more at mania 15 due to Austin capturing the title once again. From their early IC battles to Austins last match at WrestleMania 19. The Two giants of the squared circle have given me some of my greatest memories as a wrestling fan.

9.  With the emergence of the WWE Network, there isn't going to be such a focus on pay per
view buy rates. This leads me to believe WWE should cut their main roster PPV's to 9 per year. The other three slots should go to NXT two hour special shows. Sometimes throughout the year I feel we have ppv overkill. With no real emphasis on pushing the ppv to be a big deal. And no real hype for them in the weekly shows leading up to them. After the first four ppvs of the year, I believe the fifth month should be changed to the NXT special. Thus leaving time to set up all the summer long feuds and storylines. Then again in September or October, After the summer fallout. Setting up feuds for the fall. Then the December ppv to be Nxt. As everyone's minds start to think toward Christmas and it will give stories time to develop or emerge in the run up to the Rumble and on to WrestleMania season.  I would have the NXT specials remain as 2 hour shows. Not changing anything with them except the days they are showcased on. Too many main ppvs can sometimes take away the  special feeling of the live show. I can't see them going with this though. As fans who buy the network would see this as losing on value for money. Not everyone will agree that 12 ppv's per annum is too much. But I certainly do.

10. It hurts me to say, But in 2014 I have ceased my viewing of the TNA product shown each Sunday here in the UK. With the over booking, silly gimmicks and some pointless stories, I found myself huffing and puffing all the way through each Impact taping I watched.

I felt like the booking had been dragging me up, down, back, forth, round and back again. It has all seemed totally disorganised to me.
I feel really sorry for a lot of the roster. Even after the departure of certain company stalwarts, TNA still have a tremendous amount of talented wrestlers within their company. I am not saying every segment of the shows were bad. I still enjoyed a certain stories and good matches. But i just felt the negatives were far more outweighing the positive's of each two hour show. Where has the emphasis went, on letting the in ring action do the talking?? Where is the awesome X-Division segments gone? What's happened all the fans in the front row, jumping around and going crazy at all the innovative in ring action??
With the departure of TNA originals like AJ Styles, Chris Daniels, and loyal employees Kazarian, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley. A lot of my favourite wrestlers were no longer on my screen each Sunday evening.
Dixie Carter deciding to insert herself onto TNA television, has to be one of the worst ideas in company history. I don't think I need to explain why!
I really do hope they start improving again and return to the days of simple booking and great in ring action. I really don't want to see the company go under. They are going to be under even more strain once Jeff Jarrett's GFW takes off in 2015.
I have made the decision to start viewing once again, give the company one more chance. Hopefully we see a marked improvement in the product over the next up and coming months. Not try and compete with WWE, But just to be TNA, the brand known for TOTAL NON-STOP ACTION.   DING DING

THE FUTURE'S BRIGHT, THE FUTURE'S NXT....

DING DING
WWE have done a terrific job with NXT in the last 16 month. The improvements have been very refreshing. There are varying reasons behind this. First and foremost, we have to look at the impact the WWE Performance Centre has made, in the development side of the
company.
Triple H deserves a major pat on the back, for pushing hard to get this development centre opened. It has now been labelled, by some, "triple h's baby". Rumours are, that Mr Levesque has a camera feed of the centre in his office. Whether this is true or not, I don't know. But we all know Trips is a student of the game, And spent his whole career studying, listening, asking, training, and thinking wrestling every day. So he will expect nothing less from the new stars who arrive at Orlando, to try and carve out a career in WWE.
Using ex-pros such as Joey Mercury, Bill Demott and Billy Gunn, who are behind the
training and try outs can only be a positive factor for the centre.
In the last few years , WWE's new vision seems to include scouting the independent wrestling circuit to recruit new talent. Starting in the Performance Centre first, they will be put through the ringer, by the ex-pros and trainers who work there. Then receiving try outs and non tv matches, on the road with NXT
After their time in the Performance Centre and have completed their try outs, Some are successful by not changing too much of their character or wrestling style. Others get repackaged, and it either works in a positive way, or it can be a horrible failure, due to silly gimmicks or stories. WWE prefers to put their own company stamp on these guys, But certain wrestlers just don't fit the "WWE" way.
The current main roster includes several of my favourite superstars, Who came through the independent circuit before signing with WWE. Including Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, Antonio Cesaro, CM Punk and Seth Rollins, to name a few. While they have had many successes, there is also a few wrestlers, who i liked, have been released after development. Due to them not suiting the "WWE" way, including Chris Hero and Davie Richards in recent times. But you can't win them all i suppose.
The NXT creative and booking team have been right on the money, with their tv product in the last couple of years. They are pushing the talent with strong gimmicks, and good story lines. And long may this continue. The WWE in a whole are currently reaping the benefits week in week out on Raw and Smackdown, with a number of stars who came through this process. This includes stars such as Bray Wyatt who is fast becoming one of the most popular wrestlers on the roster. Along with his fellow Wyatts members Luke Harper and Eric Rowan. All three members of The shield are currently on a great run. Also talented guys such as Cesaro, Sandow, Big E, Wade Barrett, to name a few, started in nxt and have made major progression through the company.   Its great to see. So credit where credit is due. Well done WWE.
I only hope the current crop of NXT stars get the same opportunity. Sami Zayn, Adrian Neville, Corey Graves, Tyler Breeze, Sasha Banks, Charlotte, The Ascension, are a few of my picks who are undoubtedly very skilled and likable wrestlers. I hope the all get a good shot at a WWE career.
If you read this and do not watch NXT. Then i encourage you to start. Its refreshing viewing every week. DING DING

NXT TAKEOVER RESULTS AND REVIEW

DING DING
To start off I would like to congratulate the NXT booking team and production. This was one of the best shows I have watched in months. The fans at Full Sail were in great form right from the off. We had no fillers or advertisements. Just awesome action from start until end. NXT proved with this show, how much progression they have made in last 2 years. It was so easy to forget they are actually a development brand, during last night show. Great entertainment.

ADAM ROSE Vs CAMACHO - An enjoyable entrance from Rose, Starting outside and then including the usual performance. Once the match got going, it actually had some good back and forth action. Rose portrayed his usual unorthodox and camp style of "grappling". Rose finally hit The Party Foul to get the pin over the "Party Pooper" Camacho, and keeping the Rosebuds happy. Winner - Adam Rose

THE ASCENSION Vs KALISTO & EL LOCAL - I was expecting more of a fight from The Luchas. The Ascension were on top from the bell. Using there overpowering advantage to take control of the match. After showcasing there dominance, The Ascension applied their finisher to get the three count. Maybe some near falls were missing. But WWE obviously still want them to have that dominating theme to all their matches. Winners - The Ascension

SAMI ZAYN Vs TYLER BREEZE - Undoubtedly the match of the night. Both men reached deep, to enthral us with some magical wrestling. So many fantastic moves, With both stars desperate for the win. The crowd were so hot in appreciation of the entertainment they got from these guys. Zayn's springboard moonsault was definitely move of the night. After several kick outs from both of these talented men, Tyler Breeze finally hit The Beauty mark after Zayn missed with the Helluva kick. Breeze quickly covered to grab the victory, Awesome stuff. This match was worth the entrance fee alone in my opinion. Winner and new number one contender - Tyler Breeze.

RUSEV Vs MOJO RAWLEY - Rusev and the beautiful Lana made their usual pro Russian entrance. Which i don't really get!! (the cold war ended decades ago). Obviously, its meant to mirror the roles of Drago and his wife, in Rocky IV. Just a thought, but couldn't this still have worked without using the Russian theme?? Anyway, Mojo Rawley interrupted the pro Russian promo. Coming out waving Old Glory and hit the ring to "attack" Rusev. The big Bulgarian/Russian then proceeded to squash Rawley. Applying his submission version of the camel clutch. Then again on the ramp, after Lana ordered him to "CRRUUSH".

NATALYA VS CHARLOTTE NXT WOMENS CHAMPIONSHIP - This was one of the best female matches I have saw in quite a while. With the added aspect of Ric Flair and Bret Hart in their respective corners, both ladies stood up and performed to a level not seen in WWE for numerous years. This match could have easily been all about the two legends and what they stood for. But instead, we had an excellent example of technical wrestling. Added to this was a very emotional theme, with both women desperate to capture the title. The full Sail fans showed their appreciation with a "this is awesome" chant. Which both of them fully deserved. This match was full of back and forth action, counter move after counter hold. Charlotte finally got the pin after a Bow Down To The Queen, planting Natalya's face to the mat. There was an emotional embrace and show of respect between all four stars at the end. Which was nice to see. My second best match of the night. Winner and new NXT Womens champion - Charlotte

ADRIAN NEVILLE VS TYSON KIDD NXT CHAMPIONSHIP - I'm gonna start off by mentioning that i really like Neville's ring entrance. Its pretty cool and good music too. As expected, these two men gave us a great all round wrestling match. Starting off quite technical, then with Kidd taking control. Neville had to dig deep in his defence and spirit to stay in the match. Then the champ found another gear and mounted a comeback. Both men were giving their all, then Neville performed a quite beautiful head scissors manoeuvre from the top turnbuckle. Then hit Kidd with his awesome Red Arrow finisher. Quickly covering him, The Brit managed to get the 3 count, and retain the NXT championship. We all knew this was going to be a good match. And it delivered. Winner and still NXT Champion - Adrian Neville.

Well that was a damn fine wrestling show. From the simple pre match VT promos, to the amazing in ring performances, This truly did enhance how excellent NXT programming is currently. With the Full Sail fans, as always, vocal in their support for the NXT brand. They almost certainly left the show feeling they had more than value for money. DING DING

WHO DOES THE WWE TURN TO NEXT?

DING DING
With so many of us fed up with the stale John Cena gimmick, and with Randy Orton and Batista having to be repackaged in Evolution. I ask where do creative go now? Brock Lesnar seemingly is adamant on performing on a part-time basis only. Being a predominantly excellent performer, This frustrates even the most patient wwe fans. Who does this leave? And does it leave the door open for a star to step up? Can anyone dethrone JOHN CENA? Lets have a look then.....

DANIEL BRYAN is currently recovering from injury, and hopefully will return soon. He is undoubtedly one of the most talented wrestlers in the industry today. The YES man will always get a pop from the fans. But can he sustain the level of support and fan reaction he receives currently?? Only time will tell. The WWE universe will decide. RANDY ORTON has always been talented, But never did really fulfil his potential did he? Although he is a 12 time world champion, he hasn't developed into
the star we all thought after his break out moment from Evolution. He has been a solid performer for 10 years now. But with some negative chanting during his matches, have the WWE Universe had enough of The Viper?
BATISTA  had the worst timing in the world with his return to WWE
programming!! With the WWE Universe and IWC expecting or even DEMANDING that Bryan win the Royal Rumble, Big Dave was booked in to take the honours. Thus upsetting the fans like never before. The fan reaction after the rumble appeared to be more in frustration of the booking heading toward WrestleMania, than toward Batista himself. Planning to take a break this summer and with the forced heel turn to coincide with the booos, and being repackaged in Evolution, is there a place for him at main event level?? BROCK LESNAR aka The client Brock Lesnar, who defeated The Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania!
Lesnar is an exceptional talent. But being on a part-time contract
hinders his booking for longer feuds. Its common knowledge that Brock hates being on the road 300 days a year. Also with him previously suffering from diverticulitis (bowel disease), Its understandable why he remains part time.
With Heyman at his side, we have a formidable duo! I am happy for him to be booked straight into main event stories when he returns. The wwe product is better with him in it, How long are we gonna have Brock on our screens? Only he knows the
answer to this?? KANE is in the twilight of his career. And is pursuing other ventures outside wrestling. But with the lack of opponent for Daniel Bryan post WrestleMania, corporate Kane had to don the red mask once again and return as the devil's favourite demon! I don't think he'll be main eventing a lot more ppvs. One more title run before he retires would be good for mr Jacobs though! He deserves that surely??
DOES THIS LEAVE THE DOOR OPENED FOR A NEW STAR TO BE BORN?? OR A LEGEND TO BE MADE??

CESARO is my first choice to mention. since joining the main roster in 2012, he has made big strides in a short time. Cesaro has an eloquent style, mixed with freakishly strong power. He got major
pops during his Real Americans run. So WWE universe foreseen him as thee breakout star. But has pairing him with heyman worked?? I'm not so sure. To me, they lack natural chemistry together. But pairing them together was a necessity, as the king of swing lacks the mic skills needed to connect with the fans. With Cesaro being 34 yrs old, this doesn't leave a long run at the top. So i think a major push needs to happen now. with or without heyman. ROMAN REIGNS has all the tools
needed to be one of the top stars of the company. He has a dominating presence and is graceful in his movement for a big guy! And we all know vince likes a big guy. Reigns does need serious work on his promo skills, and a look into the background of the character. Can he be a breakout star? Sure! Will WWE invest in him and progress his character? Yes. Will he be thee next guy? Only time will tell. SETH ROLLINS was seen as the third member, when The Shield started their
run on the main roster. I include him due to his never ending improvements in the ring, on the mic, and his presence as a character in whole! I see money in this guy, and could see him having a very long and successful singles career. Can it be at main event level?? definitely! My last pick is BRAY WYATT. The self proclaimed God has been the breakout star of 2014 so far. His rise in popularity increases week by week. With the modern day situation where heels aren't heels and faces aren't faces, this
places Wyatt in a very nice place. The leader of The Wyatt family has exceptional promo skills and a empowering presence, in and out of the ring. The on-going feud with John Cena has propelled him straight to the top. With already giving him tv time to build his character, WWE definitely have invested in him. Can he be the next star to rise to the very top?? Where  does he go next after Cena??
All in all, I am fairly excited about the future of the main event level in WWE. I just hope they invest the time and faith in these potential Legends! DING DING.
